| Children’s
Centres are a new addition to services for children
and are being developed countrywide as part of
the government’s 10 year strategy. The aim
of each centre is to provide a one-stop shop for
families and children under 5 years of age offering
family support, health services, employment and
benefit advice and daycare and early education.
Children’s
Centres are at the heart of the multi-agency approach
to meeting the needs of children and families
and so childminders within the community play
a key role in providing flexible childcare within
the Children’s Centre catchment area.
