Julia Hinns – Managing Director
As Managing Director I am responsible for the strategic development and vision of the Company.

My role is complex, but includes the tendering process for all contracts, the marketing and promotion of our services, overseeing the operational role of all teams as line manager of the Childcare Operations Manager and have particular leads with Extended Schools and new initiatives within the Company.
I am also an active Internal Verifier for NVQs within Trio and Internal Moderator for the DHC qualifications.

Life before children; I came from a business & finance background and became a Registered Childminder back in 1990 with my two young children. I progressed through the childminding support/training route and managed an NVQ Centre before setting up Trio in 1996.

I believe passionately in professional development having gained my HNC Business & Finance; Further Adult Education Teachers Certificate including Assessor and Verification optional modules; Certificate in Management; Early Years Care & Education Level 4 NVQ; my Level 5 NVQ in Management and most recently my BA (Hons) Early Years Care and Education.

Gerry Gardner - Finance Director
I am the founder Director of Trio Childcare, Managing Director from 1996 to 2007 when I stepped down to enter semi retirement. As Trio has evolved and grown I held a variety of roles, both operational and strategic with a specialism in Childminding Networks. My current very part-time role is Finance Director, overseeing the financial viability of the company, and also part of the Director team who lead strategic and operational planning.

I come from a varied childcare background, spanning 46 years, starting my working life as a Nanny, moving into Pre School work, Local Authority Childcare Registration, Tutoring, Childminding Network Coordination, Creche Management, NVQ Assessing and Internal Verifying. I am currently an external independent Assessor for NCMA Children Come First Networks.

From the outset Julia and I believed that personal development was integral to the success of the company and led by example so having started with my NNEB, I progressed to City and Guilds 7306 Further Adult Education Teachers Certificate, D32, D33, D34, D36 Assessor & Internal Verifiers Awards, NVQ Level 5 in both Strategic and Operational Management.

Jenny Woodman – Director & Company Secretary
I have been Director of Trio Childcare Connections since March 2003, before then I was the company's training manager. My operational role is varied with primary lead for Human Resources, Safeguarding Children and Health & Safety as well as contributing to the strategic planning of the company.

I come from a pre-school, day nursery and higher education background and I am also a functioning assessor & internal verifier for early years. I have worked in early years for 31 years.
